Aloha! My name is Yuka and I am originally from Japan. After receiving my B.A. degree in English Literature, I spent the next four years teaching English to junior high school and high school students. I then travelled to Hawaii where I received my M.A. degree in Second Language Studies from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. I have spent the last eight years teaching English and Japanese to adult learners. I am responsible for the overall management of the school, and if you have any questions regarding admissions, student services and/or academics, please feel free to ask me!

Aloha! My name is Lisa and I am from Honolulu, Hawaii. After graduating with a B.A. degree in English (and a minor in Japanese history) from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, I spent the next eight years teaching English to adult learners from Asia, Europe, and South America. I have also completed my M.A. degree (with a focus on Sociolinguistics) from the Second Language Studies Department at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. I love working at CPC because of the friendly staff and students. My favorite skill to teach is grammar, although I also love teaching reading and writing. I contribute to the overall management of the school, but primarily oversee CPC’s academic programs and student services (e.g. activities), and if you have any questions about your classes, your academic progress, or even about furthering your education beyond CPC, please feel free to ask me!

Aloha! My name is Takako and I am from Chiba, Japan. I have lived in Hawaii since 2014 and I like to go hiking when I have free time. My favorite trail in Oahu is Ka`ena Point Trail because you can see Hawaiian monk seals lying along the beach. I also like watching zombie movies and Disney movies.

Aloha! My name is Kristen and I am from Aiea, Hawaii. I received my first Bachelor of Arts from the University of Hawaii, Manoa (UHM), in Japanese and Biology. I also received my second Bachelor of Arts from UHM in Second Language Studies. I love dogs and I have two of them (a miniature pincher and white German shepherd). My hobbies and interests include crafts, beauty and fashion, and eating.

Aloha! My name is Reynold and I am from Waipahu, Hawaii. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Second Language Studies and Japanese from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. As an undergraduate student I was able to study abroad in Kobe, Japan for 9 months. When I have free time, I enjoy hanging out with friends, karaoke, travelling, reading manga, and watching Japanese anime. I really look forward to meeting everyone.

Aloha! My name is Melodi, and I’m originally from Tehran, Iran. I graduated from the University of North Texas with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Ceramics. I love learning languages and travelling. I’ve been teaching English as a Second Language since I was 18 years old. I especially enjoy teaching conversation and grammar.
My hobbies are: swimming, scuba diving and art. I love living in Hawaii because I love the ocean.

Aloha! My name is Ashley. I am originally from the state of Maine (that's all the way in the Northeast part of the U.S.) and I've been here in Hawaii for a few years now. I graduated with a B.A. in Journalism from the University of Maine and also received my TEFL International Teaching Certificate from TEFL International. I then went on to earn a M.A. in Communications at Hawaii Pacific University. I really love traveling and have taught English in Spain, South Korea and Mexico. I also enjoy yoga, writing and editing for local magazines, baking desserts and spending time with friends. My favorite skills to teach are pronunciation and essay writing techniques.

Aloha! My name is Amanda and I have been teaching ESL and Spanish since 2008. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from Plymouth State University. I also have a TEFL Certificate and a CELTA teaching certificate. When I’m not at school, I enjoy blogging, cooking, traveling, and performing Improv theatre with Think Fast in Honolulu. I am really excited to be back teaching at CPC!

Aloha! My name is Camille and I am from San Diego, California. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance from Brigham Young University. I have lived in Hawaii for over three years and I completed my MFA in Choreography and Performance at the University of Hawaii. I love teaching, dancing, choreographing, and spending time with my family. My favorite skills to teach include vocabulary, pronunciation, and conversation.

Aloha! My name is Shayna and I’m from Sacramento, California. I received my undergraduate degree in Spanish with a minor in French from the University of California, Davis. I also received my Medical Interpreter Certificate from MedTalk and am currently working on getting my Translation Studies Certificate from Adelphi University. My favorite things in the world are coffee, my family, teaching language, translating, nature and discovering new relaxed restaurants. Before my big move to Hawaii, I taught Spanish and ESL to adults, did medical interpreting and translating, and worked with kids in French and Spanish. My favorite skills to teach are the everyday expressions and phrases that are such a big part of conversation. I love working at CPC because the students are wonderful and really want to participate, and the material allows for lots of interesting conversation.

Aloha! My name is Patrick Agullana. I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. I have also earned my MA degree in Second Language Studies from UH Manoa. My hometown is Kāneʻohe, which is on the windward side (east side) of Oʻahu. Some of my hobbies are watching movies and singing karaoke. I have taught English classes in Japan and here in Hawaii for an international school before coming here to CPC. I enjoy teaching speaking and writing. CPC is a great place because while everyone (students, teachers, and staff) works so hard, we also know how to have fun!

Aloha! My name is Sheldon Hirai and I was born and raised in Hawaii. I graduated from the University of Hawaii at Manoa with my Bachelor's in Travel Industry Management and recently begun teaching English after taking the CELTA course. I speak Korean and Japanese, and plan on moving abroad to teach English in the future. My hobbies include music and beauty!
